hey peg how is Mac for playing source?


dont use it for games... strictly music, movies, internet and work.

have tried it out through crossover and it played source games but all on low. plays cs 1.6 and dod 1.3 just fine though... steady 60 fps.

however games run a lot better if you use bootcamp. so if you go for that option, you can probably run css on medium settings... maybe some high.

I used it a couple of years ago with 1 minute updates, it was so cool...however, it completely killed my system. There are nice attachments to it such as Weather updates and emergency's where you can scroll over top of an event and it will give you a rundown of what has occurred.

I'm looking for something better then everest, unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be it.
My beef with Everest is that it hurts my start-up times, and this looks to be only slightly faster and far less informative, I'm still out there looking to find an ultra light OSD with customizable readouts for CPU, GPU, NB, SB, HDD temps as well as fan RPM's and CPU Usage readings.
Is that really so much to ask?

I've been collecting them from /wg/ over the last year or so... this one i found yesterday and it only the second Sonic 2 wall i've found on there... when i get home i can host a few of the better ones that i have.

Mario ones are much more common. But they're also more lame.

Now that i think about it, probably about ... 10 years ago i had a magazine and the centerfold spread open to 4 pages to map out the entire first section of the first stage in Sonic 3... it was a promo for Sonic 3 before it came out. I'll see if i can find some scans of it or something.

I'm really into art, and lets face it, Nihei and Miura are fucking awesome. Nihei however really needs to work on his story telling abilities. Miura on the other hand has that down to perfection. I mean, he devoted 10 freaking volumes to the background of his protagonist, and you really just feel sorry for Guts. Berserk has by far the best character development in anything, and it's still been going for 2 decades.

I like the design of Seu's armor A LOT, it's just a shame he was a short-lived character.

those are all programs I use on a highly regular basis, I keep quicksilver around for terminal, anything in system prefs like geektool, safari, textedit, etc.

quicksilvers in the dock because its an asshat and wont leave. i've reskinned it with an officer's badge from BSG though so its not a purple n white eyesore

you can use QS to launch the programs. im thinking less items in the doc > more.

you can also make QS disappear from the doc. i chose to have it in the taskbar, but you can make it so its fully invisible.

just reformatted. usually i have rainmeter and stuff going on, but im in the mood for something clean this time around. I use trayIt! to minimize things like thunderbird down to system tray and rocketdock w/ no border. rather happy how clean this turned out.

Right now - 2,272 K RAM, and no... although it sometimes gets in my way because I have it set to hide on the lefthand side of my screen.

right now rocketdock is using about 7mb of RAM. It doesnt interfere with graphical programs. you can set it up how you want it (always above/always below) if you've been looking into getting it, i would definately give it a shot.

I will say that it can be a hassle if you have windows minimize to rocket dock tho, that was the big reason i got trayIt!. If i'm doing work and my internet browser is filling up the screen, i dont want to have to minimize all my windows just to check my mail.

What parts are you talking about? The code on the screen (weather, system stats, etc.) are usually Rainmeter (freeware) and you could use any bevy of skinning software out there. I prefer WindowBlinds, personally.
