I think this is a pretty straightforward pick.

As much as I hate Philly, neither of these teams are really going anywhere in the post-season, so I guess it doesn't really matter.
Might as well at least have a chance of Ovechkin getting targeted by a knee or elbow. That's more likely if Philly gets in.
I'm pretty sure Avery is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Yeah. It could happen.
Montreal has 87 points and 39 wins.
Philadelphia has 86 points and 40 wins.
New York has 86 points and 38 wins.
So the only way it could work is if New York wins in OT or a shoot-out, and Montreal loses. If Philly wins on OT or a shoot-out Montreal would get the tie-breaker on wins.

lol i think i'm the only one that voted for rangers. I still cant believe that rangers cant do more with all the great players that go through their roster. They did shitty all year with gaborik ahead by points and goals by far. And i really dont want to see pronger in the playoffs.

Sorry, sports are a groan-fest unless you are playing in the game.

Boston just clinched.
The Leafs must be kicking themselves for dealing Rask.

Still a few things to be decided today.
First up, Sedin wins the Art Ross. He put up 4 points last night to hit 112. That's a franchise record too. Ovechkin didn't manage to get any points in regulation. So unless Crosby puts up an 8 point night, Sedin has it.
Ovechkin and Stamkos tied for the Richard at 50. Ovechkin has it right now since he played fewer games. But Stamkos still has to play tonight. And Crosby still has a game, and he's at 49.

So the game is going to be decided by shoot-out.
That's kind of weak.
Philly is in.
Montreal up against Washington. That could be painful.

In related news, Crosby has 5 points in the game right now... 51 goals. Boo hoo, Ovie...

Ovechkin always has the 'played a lot fewer games' to fall back on in saying he's actually the top player.
But, I'm just really glad that all his suspensions caught up with him in the trophy race. The guy keeps doing it and doesn't seem to give a shit and only gets a game or two in suspensions at a time. At least the suspensions being a big reason he doesn't win any titles is something.

Stamkos put in an empty-netter so he has 51 as well.
Crosby played fewer games, so I think he'll end up getting it.
The Devils beat the Sabres to lock up 2nd in the conference. So I think that pretty much settles everything for the regular season. The end of the Pens' game is largely meaningless (unless Crosby score another 3 points), and the Oiler-Ducks game is meaningless.

It matters because I'm first in my hockey pool by 3 points.

The richard can be shared. if they have the same amount of goals, both their names goes on the trophy, regardless of the number of games played. It happened in 2003 i think with a three-way tie.
Also philly winning in a shootout is kinda weak imo, it was a good shootout but i'm sure that both teams would have rather win or lose in regulation or overtime instead of in the hands of a couple of shooters. Personnaly, I dont think boucher is going to step it up in the playoffs for them to go very far. I think he's 8-18-4 atm... yea good luck to them though.

Oh yeah, you're right.
I thought they all played the same number of games that year. But Kovalchuk and Iginla played 81 and Nash only played 80.
