Montreal meet?

I've realized there are quite a few people from Montreal or the nearby area and thought why should only Toronto and Ottawa have these regular outings (yeah I'm jealous). I think we should go out for drinks or some kind of gathering (food, lasertag, other).

Maybe we could plan something for around the weekends of May 7 or 14. I say these weekends because my roommate is away so if anyone from further out wants to come and needs a place to crash, its more likely to happen.

I'm obviously procrastinating right now as I have two papers due next week but I wanted to see if anyone is interested in this idea. I don't know anyone well but it'd be nice to hang out.

I'm considering being a vehicule that would drive there on the saturday. I cant friday since its my dad's bday and my sister's show. But depending on which vehicule i'll be driving, varies between 4 or 7 extra people.

My semester work is finished! In light of this I thought I would update this thread and figure out what is going on.

So I think the planned meet should be May 8th. We’ll have dinner at La Banquise (http://www.restolabanquise.com/index.php?langue=an) for awesome poutine and then head over to La Quincallerie (http://www.laquincaillerie.ca/) next door for drinks. I haven’t been to either place ^^ but both are highly recommended and I want to try new places as well. Once I get a feel for who can attend then I’ll make a reservation for drinks.

If anyone also wants to meet up May 7th or head into town from elsewhere and eat/drink/stay over May 7th that’s cool with me. I have a spare room with a bed for a couple/female and floor space for ~4 in my living room. I think Pharm also offered up space but I you’d have to check with him.

So, comments? Questions?

I'm going to be in Montreal this weekend for reunion of sorts and I am getting there ahead of another friend driving from Toronto and the guy I am staying with is at work. Since I have the weekend off from work for this reunion I would like to go early and hang out in the city. If people are free I'd like to meet up and hang with some of you.

So for lack of a better place to meet, is it possible to meet at the Starbucks inside Chapters on Stanley and St Catherine? Meet there at, say, 1pm? We can go from there. I know passport will be free by 3pm, we could chill at 1 and meet up for a late lunch or a couple of drinks? Find a different spot. Really, it's just the main place to meet and we can go from there.
