Light Bulb Calamity CSS Performance & Function Config

I have created a neat little autoexec config file. It allows added functions such as:
    • Changing crosshair color + size on the fly
    • Buy binds and configured weapons packs (purchase multiple items with a single keystroke)
    • Tweaked video settings - most machines should get an FPS boost
    • Network setting customized to work better with the NR server than default settings

    Download the config

The file contains the config, a Word 2003 guide, a PDF guide (same as the Word 2003 Guide), and easy to follow instructions.

I would appreciate any and all feedback. Feel free to give the config a try. You may just like it.

NOTE: If the config makes use of a key that you normally use, you will need to change the key to another key that the config is not using.
    Current Version: 1.1 Sept 7, 2007

    w/ regards to the autoexec
r_ and cl_ commands should be separated and defined by purpose,
props commands are zBlocked last time I tried to edit them and have very little to do with the CPU,
CPU commands are ss2 and mmx and 3dnow,
key placement for buy binds seems awkward, but that's probably just because I'm so used to using my numpad for everything except nightvision and scouts,
the most important thing I noticed was that you had multiple crosshair presets on multiple buttons,
if you are changing one set of related values, always put them on one button and have them cycle through the pre-sets.
    alias command option1
alias option1 "setting; alias command option2"
alias option2 "setting; alias command option3"
alias option3 "setting; alias command option1"

    : ) a good first shot though.

Version 1.1 is now released! Thanks goes to mr. Oreo (you know who you are), Rez and Encore for beta testing :D

    Updates include:
    • Crosshair color cycle - cycle through crosshair colors as needed, when needed!
    • Crosshair size cycle - same as color cycle, but with the crosshair size. 5 Sizes to choose from.
    • Added Net graph functionality - net_graph version can be changed as needed.
    • Should now be CAL legal

I actually made my own autoexec back in the day, it had optimizations from casey's config and I bound pretty much every key to something useful, I might go find it on my old clan forums where I posted it. Or maybe give this a try idk, sounds like most of the stuff I already had !

I had alot of free time you see

Re: Calamity CSS Performance & Function Config

The only question I have is how would you change the crosshair color in console, for instance, I know you have the red, yellow blue and green crosshairs, but they arent dark enough in certain areas...
Im not to sure on how to make configs or what not, but how would I beable to make one where I can change my crosshair color to and from a dark blue, to or from a white, or lighter blue, I would really appreciate it.
    Look! its my booger.

You can just make an alias script for crosshair color toggle.

If I have time later tonight I'll post it up for you, or you can just google that "crosshair toggle" for CSS and you should find some hits.
