TNR Turns 5 (and LAN info)!

To celebrate we'll be throwing a LAN on the 30th of April in Oshawa. The event is being called TNRT5 (short for TNR turns 5). A lot of the details are still being worked out and not much information is available at this time but if everything goes to plan sign-ups will be starting next Monday.

More LAN information:

The event is being limited to 50 seats at $40 per seat. As a thank you to everyone who has contributed to keep TNR operational over the years sign-ups will be done in the following fashion:

• Starting at midnight on the 14th of March sign-ups will be permitted for any member who has contributed more than $500 to TNR
• At midnight on the 15th sign-ups will be permitted to anyone who has contributed more than $250
• At midnight on the 16th sign-ups will be permitted to anyone who has contributed more than $100
• At midnight on the 17th sign-ups will be permitted to anyone who has contributed at all
• At midnight on the 18th sign-ups will be open to everyone
• Sign-ups will be accepted at a first-come-first-served basis until all 50 seats are occupied
• Seats will be reserved for TNR members who have been registered before the time this thread was posted.

More LAN information will be given when sign-ups are being accepted.

I'm in the process of rolling out a new awards system that will serve as a big thank you for people who do exceptional things for the community. I'll be giving out awards in the next few upcoming weeks. In the meantime feel free to check our our fourth anniversary thread for a bunch of memories.

There are lots of people to thank for TNR's success over the years. Everyone plays an important roll in keeping the community rolling. Our contributors, our server ops, our server admins, our website admins, and last but DEFINITELY not least... those of you who visit and post everyday. Without any activity we wouldn't have any contributors and our community would surely die. I'm very proud of all of you for sticking around even though our servers aren't as popular as they once were.

There are a lot of things I want to say but it really all comes down to this. THANK YOU for being a member for TNR. THANK YOU for your continuous support. THANK YOU for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this. I couldn't imagine myself doing this for any other community.

We've been through a lot together. This time four years ago I didn't honestly think that we'd make it this far. We've spawned new friendships as well as several new relationships. TNR has been what I've wanted in a community and more.
