Hi, I'm Torte de Lini

Joe Mama and SpiderTroll told me about this community (as well as a few others at LANETS in Montreal - Hi guys!) and I always loved TF2 and several Valve games, so I figured I'd join.

Not much to say about me, I'm about 21 years old, I live in Montreal, I mostly play Team Fortress 2, Starcraft 2. I'm trying to make this intro. short because I believe one of my many flaws is 1. I write too much, 2. I tend to either forget words or mistype something so my sentences don't come out coherent and 3. my biggest flaw is that I take personal teasing too seriously and it bothers me too much and 4. I enumerate everything like a grocery list.

Uh... any questions, please ask.

Oh, I almost forgot: I only recently started getting into casting/commentating games, so I'm not too great (I chose to start casting because 1. I suck at video games at a competitive level, 2. I love competition and 3. I enjoy the use of colorful vocabulary to describe a scene or sight). I asked Joe Mama if it was fine to cast some of your practice scrimmage Team Fortress 2 games and he said it was okay, so hopefully I get to see you guys in action. I enjoy constructive feedback and casting any form of a game (as long as I am familiar with the game, otherwise I'll sound even worse than usual).

Is the Omega forum the team's forum or something? Thanks a lot! I'm still pretty new at the whole thing, let alone Team Fortress 2 competitive strategies (I did the ETF2L highlander challenge where we got fairly far and a bit of TF2Lobby, that's really it), so I'm hoping I can improve with everyone's help here.

Howdy dude and welcome to the community.

I can tell you that the omega folks who weren't at the lan really enjoyed watching the shoutcast. You should start pugging with us to get a better feel for the competitive game; you could also practice shoutcasting in the pugs (you wouldn't be the first)

Oh, that's always enlightening and heart-warming to hear, especially on the internet where you are prone to a lot of insults or quick put-downs. Have others casted or practiced shoutcasting with you guys before (in reference to your comment of "You wouldn't be the first"). Believe it or not, the admins at LAN ETS asked me to cast Counterstrike as well, but I knew that game even less, especially competitively. Three games is a wee bit much for me.
