Yeah, it's kind of a weird move. He seemed to say he wanted to go back to Pittsburgh (and even at one point said something like he'd go back for league minimum). But then he plays for Philly for about a $1M more. But, if money was really the issue, then why not just go back to the KHL and cash in?

I kind of get the feeling that, while pretty much everyone in Pittsburgh wanted him back, their GM really wasn't all that interested.

But a pretty crazy day so far. Lots of teams are over-paying like crazy. That always happens with UFAs, but this year seems especially bad. To make matters worse, with the cap floor going up so much, teams like Florida need to take on salary.
