True Blood is half good (the spine-ripping-out part) and half for chicks (lolrelationships).

I thought True Blood would be totally lame because a couple girls recommended it as a good show and it sounded like a love story based around vampires. It's hard to take an opinion like that seriously.

But I decided to watch it, and it's actually quite interesting. I was really surprised by how much I liked it, especially considering how eager I was to dismiss it. Sure there is a lot of lame love story crap, but I think it's nicely balanced out by lots of nudity and excessive gore. The characters are enjoyable, and the storylines can be pretty gripping, although sometimes a little over-the-top, and it can be pretty funny at times too.

That is correct. They are on season 2. HBO is up to season 3 and it is getting very graphic.
