My friend is trying to install his Skyrim.

His problem is that it is stalled on the "first time" steam setup where is says "installing microsoft.net framework"

We have tried....

-running selective startup with all startup processes disabled

-removing the file that I think is the file that tells steam that it is first time install

-forcing install from disk and not steam

-installing the latest version of microsoft.net

-installing from the microsoft.net exe in Skyrim folder.

None of this is helping and apparently not many people are having this problem because I can't find any solution online.

Does anyone have any ideas to get this going? He is losing his mind playing on PS3 with the crappy controller LOL.
