that only applies to motherboard/cpu, but the socket type pretty much takes care of that. AMD video cards are just ATI, and will work in any motherboard. unless you want to crossfire (you don't)

this build is fine. intel cpu and amd gpu work fine. My rig has a similar story.
Only concern is the GPU specifically. The 6950, the two GB, versions can be converted to a 6970. AMD decided to release future 6950 with only 1 gb of gddr5 ram. If you can get your hands on a 6950 that is 2 gb, go for it. If not, I suggest just sticking with it. OR you can wait for the new 7000 series of AMD cards to come out, theyre right around the corner.
The case is perfect but might be a little overkill. I think the 912 should suffice and it is at a cheaper price.
