New Laptop Advice

I'm buying a new laptop for my dad.

Req:
- HDMI out
- 1080p capable video card

All I need is the cheapest laptop you can find that will send a signal to the HDTV via HDMI. Bonus points for anything to do with 3D technology. Here's what I found so far as the baseline.

My mom just picked this up over the break. I didn't like it. It's plasticky and didn't seem well put together. Obviously for that price it's a functioning laptop and you really shouldn't be that picky I guess

how well does it play movies over hdmi to a tv?

it'll be able to play blu ray quality over hdmi

it's got a radeon 6300 series, it'll play video very well. Any of AMD's radeons have full video accelleration. A 6300 should play any video a 6950 can.
