LOL. No tease. I've started playing a few different games - Batman: Arkham Asylum (with Arkham City in the wings) and Deus Ex: Human Revolution - and have plans to build up a nice, kickass machine for me and the kids. Jackson just turned 5, and William is 10, so they're excited. (Hell, Jackson has almost completed Portal 2 all on his own - and that's no easy feat for a five year old.)

Thanks! Good to be back. I've been online and offline for so long - I lost 'the bug' to type, to post, to read and what-have-you, and I can't really say what gave me the feeling back to play a game again. Honestly, I think playing Portal 2 brought me back a bit, and then Batman: Arkham Asylum cemented it. Seeing them on my little laptop screen, without the benefit of high-quality graphics, and then going to the 'net and watching gameplay vids made me say, "WTF am I playing?!"

I had choppiness, lagginess, the works. I'm not interested in that anymore - I want to play my games on a giant screen, with full colours and shading and all that crap the kids do. LOL. I'm due, I guess. And, with Jackson not needing so much direct attention - as he's just turned 5 - I can share a lot of the games with him. (Ok, not all of them, but he's played Portal 2 on his own for about 6 months now, and it's amazing to see his dexterity and logic skills growing.)

So. I'm back. When's the next LAN?
