    Respawn Time

    I've noticed on other servers, respawn time is somewhat immediate, and on TNR servers its alot longer. I was wondering if it would be cool to try a shorter respawn time, if thats even possible?
    Would that have a negative or positive effect on gameplay ?

    What do you think ?

    It's possible to shorten respawn time, but if you do shorten it, the defending team would almost never lose. It would be too easy to get back on defense giving the attacking team almost no room for error when they try to attack. It's already hard as it is for blue to cap when they have around 4 times less of a wait than the defending team. It sucks waiting for 15+ seconds to respawn, but without it I doubt we'd ever see beyond 1st stage. *cue dave's "just dont die lulz"

    It IS kind of annoying waiting to respawn for 17 seconds sometimes... But yeah, it would probably cause balance issues on defence maps.

    ..yeah and server #3 will be hell. Imagine somewhat 20 never dying demomen? I might have nightmares tonight.

    Shortening the wait by a few seconds wouldn't hurt, but anything more than that would be rather unbalancing, as whizzlur pointed out. Ive played on a few fast (5 seconds) and instant respawn servers, and it was pretty much impossible to attack on the attack and defend maps (No idea what to call them).

    Please do NOT change the respawn times. Its almost impossible to cap stage 3 cap 2 as blue now I can't imagine what it would be if the respawn was reduced.

    I'm not a fan of the reduced respawn time idea. Nothing wrong with how it is now...it will just be more madness if its reduced.

    Remember the no-spawntime test? Remember how much it sucked?

    Yea the spawntime is the way it is for a very good reason, it evens out the sides.

    cool thanks for the input. i can see why it would suck especially for blue.
    its true we do usually push the hardest when most sg are down and half the team is dead LOL.
    i guess i was thinking from my red sided brain and i love winning !
