abusing the system

Anyway, my slot has expired a while ago, but I still am able to connect through this system of yours.. yeah, I'm abusing the system! But now I feel disgusted with myself, and I demand to remove me from the reserved slot ticket system.. until I donate again, which will be anytime soon!

Just wanna let you know that for some reason people (or is it just me?) can still join full games when their time has expired.
that is all.
now im proud of myself and overall im an awesome/honest person.

Zarg I heard this before but I thought that it could have been an isolated incident so I didn't worry too much about it. Unfortunately on our end everything is configured properly so it must be a bug in the system. There's another system that I used previously that was a little sketch but I think the dev has done a lot of work on it between now and then so I'll give it a whirl.

Don't recall if I've mentioned this yet... But on most (all?) servers I'm able to connect by just copying the IP and port number over, opening up the console, and using the connect cmd even if the server's full. Then I get first dibs on the queue, I guess.

ill explain to u whats going on here - when u use console to connect to the server it connects you. When you get into the server if it is full it will kick you - but if in the time it took you to connect someone left, u automatically took that spot.

whoever was next on the que doesnt get teh spot becuase for the time you are connecting there are lets say 23/22 people on the server.

thats my 2 cents anyways.

the other possibility for what could be going on here is this. lets say the server has room for 22 people and there are 22/22 on. You connect through console and make it onto the server. IF there is someone on who has a reserved slot - they get bumped to that 23rd spot and you take which ever spot they had previously. I think this makes lots of sense, but i have no way to prove it.

in the case no reservd players are on or both slots are full then u dotn make it

Correct, if your not paying for a reserved slot you should not be attempting to use one. However, we will be changing systems soon and it wont be an issue and the bug will be gone.

I wasn't sure if it was a reserved slot thing or if it functioned as part of the queue, hence why I asked. Besides, I now have a paypal account as per the LAN payment, so I'll be able to donate once I work out all my finances (something I dread doing insofar as it'll be painfully boring).
