when we're recruiting - post a thread in the recruitment section and play a lot with the current members (pug). If we think that you have what it takes we'll consider you.

for the record, he had a recruitment post.
It's my understanding that most of the "tryouts" we're being specced on pugs. The people on the tryout list will still have a tryout (i.e. scrim with the team) before making it.

I've played in a few TNR pugs, mostly on #tf2pickup though. I did have a post as well, but oh well. No hard feelings. (:
