If your connection is generally stable, you might want to call up Bell and ask them to put you on fastpath. You're probably on interleave, which is what is causing the higher ping. Interleave is just error correction which adds about 20-30ms to your ping right away.
Why should I have to WORK for everything?! It's like saying I don't deserve it!

If it makes you feel better, I'm at work and we have Bell line also. It takes the same amount of hops (14) from the office in central Toronto to the servers at 151 Front.

(but I get there in 11ms)

At least you're not getting routed to Quebec and back to TO...Bell did that to me before, 60-90 pings to TO servers, heh.

Very well done, where'd you learn about that?

    Re: Hmm... damn bell!

im on bell now as well - and they give me a RIDICULOUS routing to the vent server. Often times my vent lags out (sometimes during matches) when my internet connection is running just fine. I still have my rogers connection up - hold on ill post both.

something is wrong with those numbers - it took all of half a second to run the whole thing. I ran this like 10 more times and it looks like i've got some internal IP's that i go through first last of which is throttling ( 69.63.242.109 ) that bitch is ruining the trace.

the bell trace took like 10 seconds and is 16 hops but im having trouble copy pasting it

Is this... good? I'm completely out of the loop on Internet communication, and don't even know how to really interpret this.
