Star Wars MMO: The Old Republic

As a massive, MASSIVE fan of the Knights of the Old Republic games, I sadly must admit I'm really, really exicted about the idea of a KotOR MMO. The link says they've had a 12-man writing team employed for a couple years now banging stuff out for this game, which is apparently going to be a very story-oriented MMO with each Character having as unique a story-arc as possible.

Man, I am so pathetic, lol. I don't know why, but I just love those games, and I really want to play this game - thankfully it's a year or two away, so I can get all the WAR out of me by then

blah, im so torn over the idea of kotor mmo... kotor I&II were pwn sauce. turning it into an mmo????? just not so sure.

if they do this, they BETTER not make Jedi uber fucking OP, if they do, ill piss everywhere.

EDIT: Ah, didn't see the link u posted. Looks neat that they will have class specific story lines. if they make a big variation in these story lines, that would be bad ass. alot of replay value

I'm really excited about this. I haven't played KOTOR at all but I've heard really great things about the game and the mechanics have always intrigued me. As long as I'm not too swamped with school when this comes out, I'm picking this up for sure.

This is a two-edged sword.

1) I have yet to see a Bio-ware game that has not told a good story while having good gameplay.
2) EA (the parent company) and Lucas Arts (franchise) only care about making money.

Will be interesting to see which prevails - the jedi (Bioware), who protect the virginity of amazing games, or the sith (EA/LA) whose only want to corrupt the world with their big fat manly taints.

As for the effect this could have on Sony Entertainment's existing Star Wars MMO Galaxies, BioWare dodged the question, noting that "today we're just focusing on the Old Republic."

Code: we don't give a hoot about that shit game.

Well as we saw with KOTOR 2, Bioware didn't even get to finish the game due to EA pushing the release date.

I'm a big fan of KOTOR, I'm pretty excited but more curious about this.
