Lag issues?

I connected to the 24/7 Badwater/Goldrush server today, and got a ping of around 200. Which is kind of weird 'cause I live in Toronto and in the past have never had a ping higher than 5.

Did the update mess with communication? Have the settings been changed? If anyone knows what's going on, I'd like to hear from you, since this is making my favourite servers unplayable

If you're the only one getting the lag, it's specific to your connection. Was everyone else just as high?

i havent had any problems with my ping at all still the normal 5 ive noticed there is the odd little lag spike here and there but nothing bad

Did you try pinging and tracerouting the server?

If not, go to Start and click Run. Type cmd and hit enter. Type ping 67.213.67.74

Post the results of that.

Then, type tracert 67.213.67.74

Post the results of that.

Basically we'll have to determine if you have some lag specific to you and why this might be. Tracert checks to see how many servers it hops through before it reaches the game server. If there's more hops than there were previously, it's going to take longer and cause your ping to spike.
