    Movies

Let's talk about movies here! We had some nice discussions going on in one of MrBlonde's review threads, so yeah why not keep this thing going. Talk about any new movies you watched, or even old ones if you'd like.

I just watched Taken, and I was blown away. "Badass" is all I can say after watching it!
It's a French action/thriller. Very well shot (loved car chase scene, and pretty much all the action scenes), solid script written by Luc Besson (doesn't need an introduction, I hope?) and Robert Mark Kamen (actually wrote Karate Kid, as well as Transporter, Fifth Element, etc.)
Anyway, you might have seen some trailers around since they are now playing this movie in NA, but it's been released on DVD in Europe for a while now. Just watch it if you like action type of movies, but get ready to be "badassed"! Liam Neeson is the crazy mofo who kills everyone in this one.
They mostly come at night, mostly..

It's a combination of the Bourne series and Bonde.

He's just way more badass. He doesn't dick around when killing someone, he just does it.

That movie is awesome - I saw it on a big screen in full, beautiful DVD quality colour and sound... ...if you know what I mean.

This -NEEDS- to be said in ANY review about Gran Torino:

If you're expecting, as the trailers may suggest, a movie full of pointless racism, vulgarity, and faux-violence, you're going to be let down.

So, there's a point to the racism and vulgarity, and the violence is real looking?
