I'm using a TyTN 8525
A co-worker lent it to me and it sucks ass. Holding out for an Android phone, and then switch to Bell once they have 3G/4G and GSM in 2010
im with rogers but my company plan isn't doesnt exist anymore so it dies with the phone
i get
call answer
call display
free after 6 pm and on weekends
200 anytime mins/ month
6 cents/ min long distance
hamilton to oshawa free call range
and some other shite i cant remember for 30/ month
Blackberry Curve 8310
Apparently (not joking) I got one that was made primarily in Mexico according to some support forums, because when I made the move to keep it out-of-holster in my pocket it collected dust on the entire right side of the screen, under the cover. I can still read it but its near impossible to do anything in a sunny area, and the only way to fix it is to buy some weird ass tool and void the warranty to open it up.
Great phone though >_>
hmmm... where to buy unlocked phones @?
I've dealt alot with www.puremobile.ca and they offer great service and fast shipping. Prices are meh sometimes.
im reading that some sim cards can be different.... i cant tell what type the v360 has... how do i know it will wok in an unlocked -phone?
SIM cards are universal for Rogers.
They upgraded to a "new" type of SIM card in 2006 but it only affects the security protocals of accessing the internet.
So the voice portion is unaffected. If you are going to use an internet device like an Android, Symbian, BlackBerry, or iPhone, you should upgrade the SIM card. Otherwise, it doesn't matter.
Rogers just released some nice Sony Ericsson phones. There is a C905 which has an 8 megapixel camera, which is sweet, though expensive. (249 on contact, 449 outright) There are two Android phones coming out next week, which is estimated at 199 on contract or 599 outright.
BlackBerry phones are well made, as well as the iPhone, but they literally are $700 computers that you carry around with you.
That's not true.
