There are far worse things teachers endorse. Such as sleeping with students and throwing desks at others. My 8th grade history teacher threw a desk at me cuz I made a joke while he was explaining Italian history.(He was Italian.)

I don't mind the odd ribbing at my expense.


It landed on my legs. It hurt quite a bit and he was suspended for a month with no pay. He had to write me and my parents a letter of apology. 3 years later I apologized for being a punk. I still see him around once in a while and exchange pleasantries.

Youch! When you said he threw it at you, I never imagined it hit. Personally, I'm surprised he kept his job - back in the day, my Parents wouldn't have accepted anything short of dismissal for that. (Of course, my Dad would have probably kicked his ass anyhow - seeing as he's ex-Canadian Navy turned Firefighter. Heh - he's 5"2" and takes shit from nobody.)
