Well I've been playing Section 8 for the last couple days. You can get the beta here http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/section-8/
I downloaded it from here cause I don't have a fileplanet account http://games.on.net/file/28816/Secti...en_Beta_Client
I'm not really sure what else the game will contain, but at this point it's a lot of fun. The multiplayer (only option atm) is similar to the BF series. You have to control points which give you points toward your total. Whomever has reaches 1000 points first wins. There are additional missions, such as stealing intel, protecting a VIP and escorting cargo, which give you more points. I've won missions controlling only 25% of the points but succeeding in so many missions that we still won.
You play a soldier with whichever two weapons you want, plus any two skills/equipment. You also have stats you can boost, but only get maybe 10 points, so you have to spread them out as you wish. Your suit has a jetpack, which lasts for a few seconds and a super sprint. The sprint engages after 8 seconds, and then you move very fast for a very long period of time. I think this is a great option, because people hate walking, but they love huge maps so they can camp behind some rock and snipe. Because it takes a while to start sprinting, you can't easily use it to get out of bad situation. This is great, cause when you have someone beat, they can't just disappear the next second to get health.
The other thing is that you can order in buildings or exosuits and stuff. I think right now they just have dispenser-type buildings, sentry guns and suits of armour. The armour suits are somewhat imba, cause by the end, half the winning team has them and they just roll over you.
This is somewhat it, it's fun despite its simplicity. My build is to have an assault rifle, a machine gun, healing, turret invisibility and my stats are fairly even spread. Healing is pretty key, as long as I get out of big danger I always can have full health, can heal those around me and heal our sentries.
