The only real appeal of an iPad over an ipod touch is the keyboard, but if you've jailbroken, you can use bluetooth keyboards anyways...

The point is that it does it faster and with more battery life.

Apparently Apple is trying to claim this'll be a great gaming platform... we'll just have to see it to believe it lol.

I think I'd use an iPad primarily for travel [and poops]... my macbook is too bulky (cant even see the screen properly if the jackass in front of me reclines) and my Dell Mini9 is crap at playing videos (not to mention its rapidly declining battery life). Having a nice 9.5" screen that I could watch a couple movies on throughout a 16 hour flight would be very nice indeed.

Would I pay $500 for that? Probably not... but I can dream. Considering the data plan is so cheap it might even be somewhat worth it to ditch my smartphone and get a crappy cell to pair with something I can put in my almost omni-present backpack.

If Bantam started publishing ebooks then I'd probably be on the waiting list >_>

just LOL, love how nvidia releases five different versions of this same product and hardly anyone knows about it, but as soon as apple releases a new product its front page of every newspaper and website. For anyone is considering buying this just wait a few months and see the touch screen pc flood the market. MSI, foxconn, and other companies have signed on to make these. Personally I hate how apple usually takes components from every other manufactuer to make a product and market it WAY BETTER. This is there first attempt at actually making a computer component (processor). I doubt it will work as good as they claim, not to mention droid mobile OS>>>>iphone/ipad OS.
