It already is. Since it runs the same OS as the iPhone, the dev team will be on this within two weeks of it going live, which iirc, the sdk already has.

The iPad keynote, and Steve Jobs. It runs the same basics OS, like the iPod touch and iPhone both run the same basic OS with device-specific code. The dev team has cracked every iPhone OS firmware release yet, so there's no reason why they won't crack another variation based on the same foundation.

There is also an even greater incentive to jailbreak the iPad since it has so much hardware potential that's being locked down (tethering, multitasking, SD card adaptor as extra storage/file management, USB port adapter that will actually work with stuff other than cameras, etc.)

I "found" a copy of CrossOver Games and TF2 ran with the exact same FPS and performance that I experience on the W7 side of my MacBook. The only reason I didn't remove my windows partition was because the acceleration curves threw me off. Does it matter if its an "out of the box" experience when it delivers the same performance?
